Overview

The data licensing and sales process for benchmark data providers has much of the same characteristics as all data commercialisation. This is despite a unique data product and the additional demands of the creation process. 

EOSE have worked with three benchmark providers to take their product to a wider audience and the case studies reflect many of the same challenges. Under EOSE’s direction, the firms expanded their data sales activity, working with vendors and selling directly to end users. For one of the index providers, EOSE identified a new market segment. Subsequently, the index data providers worked as exclusive partners on that market sales opportunity.
